The foundation is the most critical element of any building, and in Lucknow, it requires specialized engineering. The city's alluvial clay-loam soil expands and contracts with moisture, which can cause wall cracking in poorly designed structures. Swastik Home provides engineered foundation services, customizing designs based on geotechnical soil bearing capacity reports. Depending on the soil report and building load, we design isolated footings with tie beams, combine footings, raft foundations, or deep under-reamed piles. For multi-story villas or areas with low soil bearing capacity (like Shaheed Path), we construct monolithic raft foundations. A raft foundation distributes the building load uniformly across a concrete slab, preventing differential settlement. We use M25 grade concrete and Fe550 steel rebars, forming a dense steel grid. Anti-termite chemical soil treatment is applied under the foundation to protect the structure's woodwork. We construct heavy RCC retaining walls for basements, applying multi-layered waterproofing membranes to prevent groundwater seepage. Shuttering and curing are managed to ensure maximum concrete density.
